One Down!

I have survived my first week as a full time teacher!  Yay! I have a wonderful lead teacher who is so kind and caring and knowledgeable.  I have so many amazing kids to work with and I am so thankful for what they teach me every day! 

I bounce back and forth from being a 5th grade Teaching Assistant to K-1 Music and it is difficult, but I get to see the amazing differences on each end of the elementary school spectrum.  It's most fun when I ask a question to a fifth grader and expect a Kindergarten response, and what I get takes my brain a few moments to process!  So far, so good!

Thankful...

For my family, and every new addition!

For a new career path that terrifies and excites me.

For good friends old and new, who know all about me, and love me anyway.

It was the music of something beginning...

Ragtime is a beautiful piece of musical theater and I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful production.

What's new...

I will soon start rehearsals for one of my favorite musicals!! So very excited.
2. I got a little promotion at work and have loved it.  It's not my ideal job but I feel more useful and productive during the day.  I am also learning lots of new things and everyday is an adventure.
3. Christmas shopping is almost done and I am really excited to spend a nice holiday at home.
4. I became an aunt for the fourth time this week and I couldn't be happier for my brother and sister!

So sad to see this show close.  It was truly amazing!

A Fun Weekend

 First weekend in August we had the chance to go to Utah for Jack's blessing. He is so cuddly and such a sweet little boy I loved every moment! His two older brothers seem to be doing a great job keeping my sis busy, they have the most active imaginations and are constantly making me laugh..

 They were so well behaved at target that they're mom bought them blue slushies! And yes, before the slushie R's shirt was mostly white....

 The timing couldn't be more perfect because that same weekend by sister-in-law had a baby shower and I was so glad we could be there! The entire family in one place for one whole weekend = awesome!

 And of course I couldn't leave out Layla!! B&L followed us back home and we had got to spend an extra week and a half with them and their sweet, sweet dog!  She just knows how to make a person feel loved.
